THE FIRST STORY / CONCEPT PROPOSAL
The play idea you
can actually start.
A fictional afternoon, a long list of saved ideas and a smaller place to begin. Read the draft narration alongside the visual direction for each scene.
SCENE 01 / TARGET 0–8s
Saved, not started
“It’s four thirty. Dinner is next. Your child wants to play, and your saved activities all need something you don’t have.”
Visual direction: Saved browser tabs fan into the space; one empty material slot interrupts the sequence. Make the parent's friction concrete.
SCENE 02 / TARGET 8–20s
Start where you are
“Start with what is already in your home. Then choose the time you have. You only need one idea you can try together.”
Visual direction: Tabs resolve into three planning slots: materials, time, one idea. Land the value by beat 2.
SCENE 03 / TARGET 20–32s
Materials
“First, name two or three materials you already have. Keep the list small. Leave anything unsuitable for your child off it.”
Visual direction: Paper/cup/box outlines move onto one shelf; an unsuitable item stays out of the plan. No activity safety certification is implied.
SCENE 04 / TARGET 32–44s
A realistic window
“Next, choose a realistic time window, including setup and cleanup. Ten minutes is a planning example, not a target your child has to meet.”
Visual direction: One timeline fills as setup / together / cleanup. A number is an example, not a developmental milestone.
SCENE 05 / TARGET 44–60s
One suitable idea
“Then choose one suitable activity, read the steps and safety notes, and stay involved. Change the plan when your child needs something different.”
Visual direction: Candidate cards consolidate to one; steps/safety/adult involvement reveal in sequence.
SCENE 06 / TARGET 60–76s
Room to begin
“The plan doesn’t need to fill the whole afternoon. It needs to help you begin. Today’s success can be simply finding a way to play together.”
Visual direction: The planning space clears; the chosen plan remains beside an adult-and-child abstract pair. Avoid medical/developmental promises.
SCENE 07 / TARGET 76–90s
One next step
“Use the free planning sheet to write your materials, time, and one next step. Save the bigger list for another day.”
Visual direction: Three filled worksheet fields move into the downloadable sheet. One real CTA.
About this draft
The script and visual ideas are original. The scene is fictional, not a customer testimonial. The planning routine is a proposed organizing tool, not a developmental program. This page is a static concept proposal; a production brief, voice recording, motion preview and review are still needed before a finished film.
