About Life & Play Studio

Who we are, how we write our guides and how they are reviewed.

What we make

Life & Play Studio is a small, independent studio making practical planning tools for the adults in a family: free web planners, printable sheets and short guides. Each project serves one stage of family life, from toddlers to teens, weeknight meals and caring for an older relative.

Our project names are working names while we complete trademark checks.

How we write

  • Planning, not prescribing. Our tools help you organize time, materials and routines. They don’t assess development, diagnose anything or promise results.
  • Small and realistic. We write for ordinary days: short windows, things already at home and cleanup you can manage.
  • Sources kept separate from our ideas. When a guide refers to research or a professional organization, we link it and say what it does and doesn’t support. Time splits and planning steps are our own suggestions, and we say so.
  • US English. Our guides are written for families in the United States first.

How content is reviewed

Before a guide is published, we check every activity step and safety statement in it against published guidance from public-health organizations, such as the American Academy of Pediatrics (HealthyChildren.org), the CDC, the National Institute on Aging and FoodSafety.gov. We change anything that disagrees with that guidance, list the sources at the end of the guide and show the date we checked it. If we change the wording later, we check it again.

Our guides have not been reviewed by a clinician or other licensed professional, and they don’t replace one. For questions about a child’s or relative’s health, safety or development, talk with a qualified professional. Guides about babies under 2 stay unpublished until a pediatrician reviews them.

Updates and corrections

Each guide shows the date it was last updated. If we find a mistake, we fix it and update the date. Our contact details will be listed here once our business email is live.

Privacy and money

We don’t run accounts, ads, analytics or affiliate links on this preview, and we don’t collect information about children. Worksheet notes stay in your browser. When the shop opens, we will earn money from selling printable planners, not from your data. Read the Privacy Notice for details.
